For our Schools
We raise standards for young people in our schools by setting high expectations of everyone who works with us and ensuring they have the appropriate support to deliver.
Industry experts work across a variety of subject and theme-specific areas, such as leadership, teaching, behaviour and safeguarding, working directly in schools to enable rapid improvements.
As the Trust expands, we are keen to develop talent within our schools and to broaden the influence of these specialists by sharing practice amongst our members through a coordinated programme.
Additionally, we will work on the development and implementation of research projects which will benefit children in local contexts and provide associated professional development for colleagues.
Examples of projects we have worked on include:
- creating a bespoke curriculum
- developing literacy, vocabulary and oracy for writing
- metacognition techniques
- improving the achievement of boys
School Support is brokered through Executive and Central School Improvement Teams, according to need, and provides a comprehensive and targeted calendar of quality assurance and development.
Beyond the development of practitioners and school-to-school support, all members will benefit from Central Services support. Strategic elements of finance and HR required by
joining academies, key policies, audit arrangements, legal support, integrated financial planning, payroll, ICT network and Information Management support will form part of our arrangement.
The Trust is an integral member of the North West Schools Buying Hub. Joining schools will benefit from a review of purchasing practice and contracts.
Key policies, processes and reporting arrangements will be centralised and levels of control identified within GMLT schemes of delegation. The JCNC will ensure that consultation on central policies takes place and that these are compliant and reasonable.
