For our Staff
Just as with our children, we want all GMLT colleagues to thrive in their work and achieve their aspirations, whatever their role and whatever that ambition.
GMLT offers a comprehensive programme of shared and personalised professional development for all staff which addresses common themes, emerging matters and individual development.
There is access to bespoke professional development and Career Pathways for all staff (teaching and support) at all levels, along with numerous associated accreditations amongst these ITP/OTP, NPQML/NPQSL, ILM, Teaching Leaders and coaching and mentoring awards.
Working with partners
We have excellent associations with Teaching School Alliances and Research Schools which support our CPD models and our work on research-based projects which are directly relevant to improving the education of children in our context.
We have a direct focus on identifying potential within and, for those who wish to take on greater responsibility, our Pathways and accreditations are supported by work shadowing and through access to leadership coaching.
GMLT has several accredited specialist practitioners in a variety of areas and, as our organisation grows, we will develop further opportunities for our staff to work across organisations to support others and improve outcomes for children on a wider scale.
We recognise that working in education can be demanding both professionally and personally.
Our Staff Charter has been developed with colleagues for the benefit of colleagues.
It represents our commitment to our staff that we will focus on:
- managing workload
- providing a work-life balance
- activities to support social and physical wellbeing
- offering the best professional support and the best personal and emotional support to our colleagues
